OD Buster at HR19
At the International Harm Reduction Conference SON plans to organize a large, dry-run test of our OD Buster software with the conference delegates. If you are at the conference you are cordially invited to download the OD Buster app (see the flyer in your conference bag) and participate in this unique real-time Crowd Testing event.
The Stop Overdose Now Foundation (SON) and Missing Link Health Technologies (MLHT) are developing a suite of mobile tools to digitally empower the response to the opioid overdose epidemic.
The core application concerns OD Buster, a community based overdose monitoring and response networking app that connects people in need of assistance with an overdose with trained volunteers in possession of naloxone in the vicinity in real time. The first prototype of OD Buster is currently being tested.
The OD Buster Conference Break Experience
You can use the app during the conference breaks to respond to ‘assistance’ requests sent by other delegates or initiate one yourself. The exercise will be started by a few volunteers, who will be hiding in and around the conference venue.
Your participation will allow us to evaluate the performance of the software under high pressure. It also offers a great way to meet new colleagues and a reason to get some fresh air. You are encouraged to set up your own hide & seek games, to meet with known colleagues or simply by hitting the alarm button when you feel like meeting someone for dinner.
